End Leukemia & Lymphoma
On November 1st, 2015, the Crestline team is walking in the Dallas Light the Night event put on by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). We’re walking as a team to give hope to those currently battling cancer, and also to remember those who have lost their lives.
One lady in particular holds a special place in our hearts, as she was a member of our team just a year ago. We’re dedicating our walk to her, and we’d like to share her story.
Lindy was an important part of the Crestline team. At just 32 years old, she had built a successful career that she loved in the auto transport business. She was engaged to be married at the time and had been lethargic while feeling ill for several weeks. When getting checked for what she thought was the flu, Lindy began a valiant five month battle with a specific type of leukemia called Acute Mylogenous Leukemia. She received a stem cell transplant, needed a bone marrow transplant, and throughout her many rounds of chemotherapy she always remained cheerful and inspirational to all around her.
The Crestline team misses Lindy every day. We’re walking for Lindy, for our families, for our friends, for others; we’re walking for the CURE. We’re not just transporting cars every day; as we remember Lindy we are transporting hope. Funds raised through LLS are used for research, patient services, education, and advocacy.
We can’t do this alone; we need your help. There are three ways you can join us in the fight to eliminate cancer:
