Crestline Goes to the 2017 State Fair of Texas Auto Show
If you haven’t been to the State Fair of Texas yet, what are you waiting for? There are so many reasons to head down to Fair Park in Dallas, chief of those being the Texas Auto Show at the State Fair. It’s been running for more than 100 years, and has finally been dubbed officially the “Texas Auto Show.” This impressive auto display has hundreds of the latest models from the biggest manufacturers including Chevrolet, Ford, Toyota, Kia, Subaru, Fiat, and many more. The Texas Auto Show has gotten so big that there are cars to see in three different areas at the state fair including the traditional Automobile Building, the Centennial Building, and the Outdoor Truck Zone (just as cool as it sounds). You don’t have to be a car fanatic like we are. Everybody has a dream car, and sooner or later, everybody is going to need a new car. Why not check out the models, even sit in the driver seat, or schedule a test drive?
A few members of the Crestline team and family members checked out the State Fair this week. Of course we checked out the cars and trucks. You can get in, open the doors, try the features…we stayed for quite a while imagining ourselves cruising down the open highway.

Find Your Color
You can get your dream car in almost any color from deep maroon to bright orange!
2018 Trucks
We had a great time checking out all the new 2018 truck models with our friends from Sam Pack’s Five Star Ford.
Chevy Volt
The 2018 Chevy Volt gets 53 pure electric miles and a super range of up to 420 miles on a full charge and single tank of gas!
Chevy Camaro
And we love the color of this new Camaro.
We didn’t spend all our time looking at the cars and trucks. We had time to see miniature ponies, visit the peacocks, ride a few of the craziest rides we’ve ever seen, AND grab a few famous Fletcher’s Corny Dogs. Those are State Fair of Texas staples, and we couldn’t pass it up. There is so much to see it’s almost too much for one day, so if you can — make plans to return!

Champion Steer
Speaking of animals and livestock, the Grand Champion Market Steer was purchased for $141,000 at the Annual State Fair of Texas Youth Livestock Auction. That’s one fancy cow!
2018 Truck of Texas
We are staying updated to find out which truck will win the coveted 2018 Truck of Texas award at the Truck Rodeo this weekend on October 15. This is given by the Texas Auto Writers Association at the Longhorn River Ranch, just west of Austin. Our state takes trucks very seriously; and this event puts trucks to the test with courses through the hill country, judging on each vehicle’s power, response, and capabilities.
There is still time left to make a trip to the fair! The State Fair of Texas runs until October 22nd. Make plans and share your photos with us @CrestlineAuto on Twitter and Facebook!
